Visiting researchers should spend at least twelve weeks per year at CTBE with grants from Brazilian Agency

CTBE invites foreigner visiting researchers to contribute in the development of ethanol from sugarcane production cycle.

Focused on cellulosic ethanol technologies from sugarcane biomass, CTBE is open to collaborate with researches and scientific institutions from all around the world. The project should be in line with the Lab's mission and visiting researcher should spend at least twelve weeks per year at CTBE. This is a joint initiative involving CTBE and State of São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP).

For projects submission, read the guidelines below:
 

Guidelines

- Project (two page abstract) is submitted by e-mail (diretoria@bioetanol.org.br).

- CTBE evaluates if it is within its mission and priorities. If so, an extended version, approved by CTBE, is submitted to the Brazilian Agency FAPESP. The project will be peer-reviewed by FAPESP standards and procedures.

- Project should be coordinated by:
    .Visiting researcher (that will spend twelve weeks per year at CTBE, e.g. in up to eight visits/year).

- Project budget may include:
    .Grant for all traveling and local expenses.
    .Postdoctoral position at CTBE (supervised by the coordinator).
    .Ph.D. student from visiting researcher institution to develop part of his/her thesis at CTBE (grant for trip and 6 months period at CTBE).
    .Grant for developing the project at CTBE.

- CTBE will provide the necessary infrastructure, visiting researcher compensation,
and local researcher (collaborator and designated manager of FAPESP contract).

- IP: title and benefits are negotiable.
